May 20, 2021 Update 3:30PM

Please see the below letter that was sent to families and staff earlier today.

Good Afternoon Cape Staff and Families,

With the recently released CDC guidance and Delaware Governor Carney’s 29th modification to the State of Emergency and COVID-19 restrictions, it will be my recommendation to the Board of Education that the Cape Henlopen School District operates in a 5-day per week, full-day, in-person instructional model for the 2021-2022 school year. The District will develop plans for all students to fully return to the classroom, pending Board approval on May 27th. At this time there is no intention to return to a full-scale, modified remote, or hybrid model.

Thank you and have a great evening,

Bob Fulton
Superintendent
