On December 5 over 50 Cape Henlopen High School, students went on a cost-free trip to Broadway to see Aaron Sorkin’s play, To Kill A Mockingbird based on the novel by Harper Lee. Through the generous support of various community sponsors, including the Rehoboth Beach Village Improvement Association (VIA), Big Fish Charitable Foundation, Cape Henlopen Education Foundation (CHEF), the Carl M. Freeman Foundation, the Big Oyster Brewery, Right Balance Pilates, and the Cape Community Fund, four CHHS English teachers were able to bring the students to see the page they read in class come alive on the professional stage. Special thanks to all who donated to make this a memorable, educational event for all involved.
