Congratulations to seniors Elizabeth, "Lizzie" Shea and Nolan Kerstetter who were both named as the Cape Henlopen High School Upstanding Students for April!
Lizzie was nominated by Mrs. Calhoun who said she is a good friend to all of the students and is helpful, especially to those with disabilities. Lizzie is looked up to for guidance and is very active in Unified Sports and the qualities she displays are seen both on and off the court. She is always eager and willing to help friends in need. After graduation Lizzie plans to attend the University of Delaware where she hopes to become a teacher one day!
Nolan Kerstetter nominated by Mr. Arden who says that Nolan is an awesome student leader and gets everyone motivated. “The main couple of things I do to make a difference in the community is JROTC, volleyball, community service, good grades, and being in the Army National Guard," Nolan said when asked about his leadership. "I take care of schedules and organizing things for JROTC and lead a bunch of freshmen. I also recruited a bunch of students, so now we have enough to play our first Cape male volleyball season and hopefully, we’ll get really good in a couple of years!"
Way to go Lizzie and Nolan! Keep up the great work!
