Earlier this month, Cape Henlopen School District, School Resource Office, Corporal Crysti Davis, visited Ms. Andrea Elling’s pre-school class. During her visit, she read the book “Officer Buckle and Gloria” a children’s book written by Peggy Rathmann. The story was about a Police Officer and his K9 partner, Gloria. Corporal Davis’s reading visit was part of the Sussex Consortiums program goal to motivate students to work hard, as well as to increase reader engagement and to promote the overall love of reading with the students.
