Midway Lions Club Hosts “Snow Bowl” Day for the Sussex Consortium
On Friday December 8, the Midway Lions Club held their Annual Snow Bowl event at Milford Bowling Lanes for the students at the Sussex Consortium. The Midway Lions club has been hosting similar events for the Consortium since 2002. Over the years, Snow Bowl has become a day that all of the students and staff look forward to. Milford Bowling lanes donates the use of the lanes to the students and staff, and the Lions Club provides everyone with food and drink.
“This is definitely one day that all of our students look forward to each year,” said Vivian Bush, Principal of the Sussex Consortium. “They get to enjoy some friendly competition with each other, and get to spend time with their friends who they may not always get to see during the day.” Students were divided up amongst their age group which included kindergarten to age 21.
“It’s a really fun day for all of our students,” said Trish Wilson, teacher at the Sussex Consortium. “The Lions club and Milford Bowling provided the necessities for the day, and the students definitely brought the fun!”
