Third-grade students at Shields Elementary gathered together in the cafeteria with family and friends to share what they learned during their weather unit. In each of the three classrooms, students selected a major weather event to research and write about throughout a six-week timeframe. Blizzards, floods, hurricanes, and tornados were a few of the major events they selected. At the end of the unit, parents, grandparents, families, and friends were invited to Shields where the students had the opportunity to present what they learned.
