Do you have time to meet with a student once a week?

  • The Cape Henlopen School District is launching its first District-wide Mentorship Program. In partnership with Connecting Generations®, the District is aiming to provide mentors for Cape students. The program focuses on the social and emotional well-being of the students by providing a relatable role model to meet with a student weekly.

Applicants must be able to complete a background check and provide references to be accepted. Mentors will also be required to participate in a three-hour training course.

How do I apply?

  • Applications are available online at connecting-generations.org. Visit the Become a Mentor page to apply. A paper application can also be picked up at the Cape Henlopen School District, District Office, 1270 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958. If you have additional questions, please reach out to the District Mentor Coordinator, Shay Eli at (302) 703-3522.
