Janet Maull-Martin, Class of 1970

Janet Maull-Martin is a member of the first graduating class at Cape Henlopen High School. Ms. Maull-Martin holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Warren Wilson College and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Delaware State University. All 35+ years of her career in education were spent in the Cape Henlopen School District. Ms. Maull-Martin was a classroom teacher, Title 1 Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and Principal throughout her years at the District. She received the News Week Sallie Mae Recognition, an award given to educators who are an inspiration to former students to become educators themselves. Ms. Maull-Martin is now a Cape Henlopen School District Board of Education member representing Area C.

Ed Waples, Class of 1974

Mr. Ed Waples is a 1974 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. While at Cape, Mr. Waples was a part of the track and cross country teams. He was one of the top track athletes, on the team and was also a scholar-athlete and a member of the National Honor Society. Upon graduation, Mr. Waples attend the University of Delaware, earning a degree in political science, and worked for Cargill Incorporated, as a supervisor and a manager. Around 1990, Mr. Waples went back to school at Delaware State University, where he earned his teaching certification. Mr. Waples taught coached various sports teams at Lewes Middle School and Milton Middle School, and in 2000 became the Assistant Principal at Cape Henlopen High School. He went on to become a Principal at Cape and eventually made his way over to the District Office as the Supervisor of Student Services. Today, Mr. Waples is the Cape Henlopen School District Director of Personnel, overseeing the entire human resources department.

Bryan Stevenson, Class of 1977

Bryan Stevenson is a Cape graduate from the class of 1977, and a graduate of Harvard Law School and the Harvard School of Government. Mr. Stevenson is the founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative, a human rights organization based in Montgomery, Alabama. He is also a renowned lawyer, author of a New York Times bestseller, Just Mercy, has received forty honorary doctoral degrees, including degrees from Harvard, Yale, Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania, and has won countless awards for his and his team’s dedication to challenging the inequality in America.

Lee Ann Wilkinson, Class of 1977

Lee Ann Wilkinson is a graduate of the class of 1977. Upon graduation from Cape, she attended the University of Delaware, earning degrees in fine art and art education. She returned home to Lewes after graduation and joined the family real estate business. Ms. Wilkinson is now the CEO of The Lee Ann Wilkinson Group. For over 30 years, Ms. Wilkinson has been the top real estate agent in Lewes, focusing on bringing buyers and sellers together all over Sussex County. She ranks as the number one REALTOR® in total sales volume and dollar value in the county and has maintained that position for nearly 20 years. Young Sohn, Class of 1977

Ms. Sohn is a member of the Cape Henlopen High School graduating class of 1977. After her graduation from Cape, Ms. Sohn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Cornell University. She then spent six years at Oracle Corporation in the pharmaceutical vertical organization, and then went on to hold executive management positions at PharmaSystems. In 1994, Ms. Sohn founded Nomadic Systems, Inc where she served as the Chief Executive Officer until November 1997. She led the Siebel Life Science Division from that time through December 2001. In January of 2007, Ms. Sohn was a founding member of Veeva Systems Inc., and in 2014 was a founder of Vlocity, a fast-growing cloud applications software company that delivers compelling industry-specific vertical applications on the Force.com and Salesforce1 Platform. In June 2019, Forbes named Ms. Sohn one of the Wealthiest Self-Made Women.

Dr. Peter Coveleski, Class of 1981

Dr. Peter Coveleski is a graduate of the Cape Henlopen High School class of 1981. Upon graduation from Cape, Dr. Coveleski attended Swarthmore College where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He went on to attend medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated in 1989. Dr. Coveleski has always been interested in the musculoskeletal neuro system. He interned at Riverside Hospital in Delaware from 1989 to 1990 and completed his residency at the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, an affiliate of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Medical School. Currently, he is the medical director of the Bayhealth Medical Center Rehabilitation Unit and also runs the Bayhealth Medical Center Prosthetic and Orthotic Clinic. Dr. Coveleski has lectured on spasticity, sports injuries and bracing. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Delaware Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Sussex County Medical Society and the International Rehabilitation Medicine Society.

Chelsea King, Class of 1987

Chelsea King is a 1987 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. Ms. King graduated at the age of 17, a year earlier than her class of ‘88, because of her desire to pursue becoming a professional ballerina. Ms. King was accepted into the School of American Ballet and while there, she danced at the Lincoln Center. She also had the chance to perform with Ray Charles and the New York City Ballet. She later was accepted as an apprentice at the Pennsylvania Ballet in Philadelphia and was promoted to a corps member a year later. Ms. King became adept at classical, modern, and character ballets, and returned to NYC after two years to continue her studies. It was during a class in NYC that she was noticed by the director of the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam and asked to go to the Netherlands to dance with his company of 84 international performers. She performed extensively in the Netherlands and Europe with the group. Ms. King’s final performance was at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland in 1999. After marrying a Dutchman, moving back to the States, and having 3 children, Ms. King re-trained as a yoga instructor. She and her husband now own and operate the family business, King's Homemade Ice Cream.

Ed Lavelle, Class of 1988

Ed Lavelle is the Cape Henlopen High School, 1988 Class President. He has not only helped to organize the 10, 20, and 30-year class reunions, but he’s done so while living in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Lavelle made his way to the West Coast in 1994 after graduating from business school and spending time working in NYC. In 2000, he was accepted into the American Film Institute where he graduated with a Master's degree in producing. Mr. Lavelle worked his way through the ranks of Production Managing and Line Producing on shows such as Big Brother, America’s Next Top Model, The Apprentice, and Homeland Security USA. Since 2009, Mr. Lavelle has worked as the CEO/Co-Founder of Beyond Reality Entertainment, one of the leading production companies in California.

Jeremy Diehl, Class of 1989

Mr. Jeremy Diehl is a graduate of the Cape Henlopen High School class of 1989. During his time at Cape, Mr. Diehl was an active member of the Boys’ soccer team. His senior year he was named as a First Team All-Conference player, an All-State player, was a captain, and was the team MVP. During his summers, he was a member of the Rehoboth Beach Patrol and part of the sprint relay team that won the USLA National Sprint Title in 1999. Upon graduation from Cape, Mr. Diehl attended Florida Gulf Coast University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. He currently is a Senior Partner with Diehl Foraker CPA’s, an accounting firm, located in Lewes, Delaware. He is also the co-owner and operator of the Lewes Dairy Queen with his wife Ashley. Mr. Diehl is an avid Cape Viking sports fan and also enjoys spending time with his family!

Maggie Reardon, Class of 1991

Ms. Reardon graduated from Cape Henlopen High School in 1991. She is also a graduate of The George Washington University and Columbia University School of Journalism. She has appeared as a tech commentator on various networks including CBS, ABC, Fox News, CNBC, MSNBC, and NPR. In 2015, she was a finalist for a Society of American Business Editors and Writers award for her coverage of the Net Neutrality debate. Ms. Reardon got her start in journalism while a student at Cape, covering field hockey, and girls’ basketball. Ms. Reardon now is a Senior Writer for CNET News, covering cell phone services, broadband, technology policy issues, and politics, as well as the ongoing consolidation of the phone companies. She is also the author of the CNET advice column Ask Maggie. Ms. Reardon also works as a fierce disability rights advocate.

Ryan King, Class of 1991

Mr. Ryan King is a 1991 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. Upon graduation, Mr. King attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where he was an Industrial Design Major. While in Philadelphia, he began what would be a 20-year modeling, production and acting career. Mr. King has worked and traveled all over the world to locations that include New York City, Miami, Italy, Greece, Spain, Germany, Los Angeles, and Nashville. He has worked behind the camera with notable photographers such as Anne Leibowitz and David La Chappelle and occasionally stepped in front of the camera for ads and book covers. Mr. King has played small parts in TV pilots, made two movies with production company, City on a Hill, and has recorded music videos with Dolly Parton, Keith Urban, The Doobie Brothers, and Reba McEntire, just to name a few.

Alison Houck, Class of 1994

Ms. Alison Houck, CPA, is a Managing Partner of the Rehoboth Beach Office of Faw Casson Certified Public Accountants. Graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Ms. Houck has been working in this area since 1998. She is the recipient of such distinctions as the BPW Young Careerist Award and the NAWBO Bridge Builder Award. She was named as Best Accountant in Sussex County from 2014 to 2017, and Best Charity Volunteer in 2016 by Coastal Style Magazine. In addition, she serves on the Board of Ambassadors, the Charitable Gift Planning Advisory Council, and the Finance Committee for the Beebe Medical Foundation; the Accounting and MIS Advisory Board for Lerner School of Business and is a member of the Lerner Executive Program at the University of Delaware; and the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Children & Families First of Delaware. In 2015, she was appointed by Governor Jack Markell for a three-year term as a member of the State Board of Accountancy, currently serving as the President. She is also active in many local organizations, previously serving in Executive Committee positions with the Delaware Society of CPAs, and served three years as Delaware’s designated member of the AICPA National Council.

Cliffvon Howell, Class of 1995

Cliffvon Howell is a 1995 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. Mr. Howell is a 20-year public servant. Currently, he is the Juvenile Justice Coordinator for the Delaware Criminal Justice Council. Mr. Howell is a 1999 graduate of Delaware State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a 2007 graduate of Wilmington University, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. In addition to his public service, Mr. Howell operates a photography business; is the co-host of a critically acclaimed internet radio program titled “The Brown-Eyed Perspective;” is Adjunct-Professor of African American History; and is a community activist.

Dr. Megan Henly, Class of 1995

Megan Henly, Ph.D., is a 1995 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School and is currently a Project Director at the University of New Hampshire. After graduating from Cape, Dr. Henly attended the University of Maryland - College Park, where she earned a degree in sociology. She went on to receive her master's in survey methodology at the same university, and then on to earn her Ph.D. in sociology at the University of New Hampshire. Over the last 20 years, Dr. Henly has worked as a researcher in the academic, federal government, and non-profit sectors in Washington, DC, and Durham, NH. She has taught statistics and survey methods to hundreds of college students. Her expertise as a social scientist has led her to publish on a variety of topics including rural migration, environmental justice, opioid misuse, retirement & aging, and child maltreatment. Most recently, her research at the Institute on Disability at UNH examines how people with disabilities are doing with respect to employment, education, health, and community participation.

Delories Houchens, Class of 1996

Delories Houchens is a graduate of the Cape Henlopen High School class of 1996. She has proudly served in the United States Army for 23 years. Ms. Houchens has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology with a specialization in Biosecurity and Biodefense from the University of Maryland. She is a member of Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society. This prestigious honor society recognizes superior scholarship and is one of the oldest preeminent honor societies. She is also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. Ms. Houchens has worked at the Pentagon for the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense for most of her military career. USAMRICD is the Nation's leading science and technology laboratory in the area of medical chemical countermeasures research and development. Ms. Houchens is a Master Sergeant in the United States Army and is presently stationed at Fort Bragg.

Carrie Lingo, Class of 1997

Carrie Lingo left her mark on the CHHS Field Hockey program that will last a lifetime. Ms. Lingo not only lead the Vikings as captain of a state championship team, but she then went on to compete at the collegiate level at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. It was there that she helped her team achieve two NCAA Championships. Ms. Lingo represented the United States from 2001 - 2012 on the USA Field Hockey team, where she played in 190 international matches. She played on the 2008 Olympic team, and in the 2002 and 2006 World Cup tournaments. She was also part of two silver medal teams at the Pan American Games in 2007 and 2013. Ms. Lingo retired from Team USA in 2012 and now leads The Carrie Lingo Team, part of Jack Lingo, REALTOR®.

Stephi Warrington Brown

After graduating high school, Stephanie Warrington Brown earned a degree in Business Administration and worked in the medical offices in Lewes for several years. Not long after the birth of her fourth child, Ms. Brown decided to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. With the support of her family, she enrolled in the nursing program at Del-Tech Community College. While going to school and raising children ranging from teenagers to toddlers, Ms. Brown rarely missed an event or activity the kids were involved in. She continued to coach field hockey and was a co-leader of the Youth Group at Church. Ms. Brown obtained her degree in 2016 and started working at Beebe Healthcare in the Emergency Room. She is now an RN in Same-Day Surgery at Beebe.

Tetra S. Shockley, Esq.

A 1998 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, Tetra S. Shockley, Esquire is an attorney licensed in both Delaware and New Jersey. A former Deputy Attorney General with the Delaware Department of Justice, Tetra is now an Associate Attorney for Benton Lynn Law, P.A. where her areas of practice are Family Law and Criminal Law. Tetra is also the reigning Mrs. Cosmos United States 2019 and the former Mrs. Delaware America 2016. She uses her pageant titles to advocate for children throughout the state of Delaware and to promote health, fitness, and positive body image. A published author, Tetra released her first book, “The Solitaire: Set aside. Set apart. Set free.” in October 2017. She uses “The Solitaire” to inspire others to push past the trials and tribulations of life and to pursue their dreams and desires. Tetra’s greatest accomplishment is what she lovingly calls “All Things Shockley,” her husband of 14 years, Jerome, and their children, Tierra and Jaden. She is also a proponent of community service. Tetra graciously serves in leadership positions at The Family Church in Voorhees, NJ, is a volunteer for the girls’ mentorship program, Pearls for Girls, and is active with the non-profit organization, Pursuit for Peace. In her spare time, Tetra enjoys family time and shopping.

Dr. Nicholas "Trip" DelCampo, III

Dr. Nicholas DelCampo (Trip) graduated from Cape Henlopen High School in 2000. Dr. DelCampo attended the University of Delaware where he was a member of the football team and helped lead the Blue Hens to a 15-1 season in 2003. He also helped his team capture the Division II National Title that same year. Trip graduated from UD and went on to attend Bridgeport University where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and is now a Board Certified Chiropractor at Midway Chiropractic in Rehoboth Beach.

Krystle Wideman, Class of 2002

Ms. Krystle Wideman is a graduate of the Cape Henlopen High School Class of 2002. Upon graduation from Cape, she attended Delaware State University (DSU) on a full academic scholarship that she maintained all four years. In 2006, she graduated from DSU with a degree in sociology: criminal justice. She went on to attend Wilmington University where she graduated with a Master's Degree in the administration of justice. Ms. Wideman is also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. which provides a variety of services throughout the community. Prior to working for Delaware State Police, Ms. Wideman worked as an Associate Clinician for Fellowship Health Resources, the Stevenson House Detention Center and Department of Corrections - Probation and Parole. She was then hired by Delaware State Police in 2010. She was inspired to become a State Trooper by family members who also chose a career in Law Enforcement. Currently, Ms. Wideman is a Detective at Troop 4 and works Part-Time as a Delaware State Police Recruiter.

Jimmie Allen, Class of 2004

Shortly after his graduation from Cape Henlopen High School, Jimmie Allen made his way to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his dream of performing music. Jimmie was signed to Broken Bow Records and released his debut song, “Best Shot” in 2018. Jimmie then released his first full-length album, Mercury Lane, in October of that same year. Jimmie’s song “Best Shot” earned him a CMT Award Nomination for Breakthrough Video of the Year. He was also nominated for the ACM New Male Artist of the Year in 2019.

Caroline Judge, Class of 2011

Ms. Caroline Judge graduated from Cape Henlopen High School in 2011. During her time at Cape, she was a stand-out field hockey and lacrosse player. Upon graduation, she attended Northeastern University where she was a team captain and a key player on the girls’ field hockey team. In her senior year at Northeastern, she was named the All-CAA Second Team selection and was also named to the NFHCA All-Northeast Region Second Team. Ms. Judge graduated from Northeastern with a degree in marketing and shortly after returning home, started working as a Social Media Specialist with SoDel Concepts. As Social Media Specialist, she oversaw the social media operations of all 12 of SoDel restaurants and the SoDel brand. In July of 2019, she was promoted to Marketing Director for the company. Ms. Judge is also one of the Eastern Shore Lacrosse club coaches for a local girl’s travel lacrosse team.

Thomas Ott, Class of 2014

Mr. Thomas Ott is a 2014 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. While at Cape, he was a three-time State Champion wrestler in the 220-pound weight class, a State Champion and All-American lacrosse player, and was also an All-State football player. Mr. Ott not only was a stand-out athlete but was also an honors student and a member of the National Honor Society. Upon graduation from Cape, he went on to attend the United States Naval Academy where he continued his wrestling career. He graduated from the Academy in 2019 and is currently an Ensign stationed in Norfolk, VA. He will be joining the destroyer ship, USS MCFAUL.

Jack Ashby, Class of 2016

Jack Ashby is currently a senior at the University of Lynchburg, located in Lynchburg, Virginia. Jack is a Biomedical Science major who has a 3.77 GPA and has earned Dean’s list honors all four years. On top of his academic achievements, Jack has also earned recognition from the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success, the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society Rho Tau Chapter, and was named to the National College Athlete Honor Society. Jack was the Captain of the Lynchburg Men’s soccer team in his junior and senior year, was named the athletic department’s Rookie of the Year in 2016 and has been an Academic All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference athlete all four seasons. When Jack isn’t on the soccer field or in the classroom, he helps to conduct research in Bioinformatics Analyses of Prokaryotic Genomes (assigning the functions to bacterial genes through sequencing of the genome.)

Haley Schnupp, Class of 2018

Haley Schnupp is in her second year at Coastal Carolina University located in Conway, South Carolina. Haley has been a Dean’s list student with a 3.5 GPA and is working towards her degree in Elementary Education. While going to school full-time, Haley has also been working at a pre-school center, has volunteered with the Miracle League, and is an active member of her sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma. While at Cape Henlopen High School, Haley was a member of the Cheerleading squad and the Girls’ Soccer team.
