Rehoboth Elementary Student Leadership Team Leads by Example

The fourth and fifth grade leadership team at Rehoboth Elementary is comprised of back row L to R: Lila Vavala, Ainsley Garrity, Theo Vezeteu, and Isla Kaskey. Standing/front row L to R: Monroe Ayers, Rory Booth, Lily Davis, Jade Thompson, Sophia Mockewich, Madison Suarez, Isaac Dalalau, and Ilean Meibaum.

Rehoboth Elementary School is proud to recognize its Student Leadership Team, a dedicated group of fourth- and fifth-grade students who consistently demonstrate responsibility, kindness, and a commitment to helping others. These conscientious student leaders willingly give up one recess each week to support their school community and serve as positive role models for their peers.

This week, the Student Leadership Team presented a schoolwide Student Lead Assembly for all grade levels. During the assembly, students shared real-life social situations and offered thoughtful advice on how to handle them respectfully and responsibly. The presentation encouraged positive decision-making and reinforced the importance of empathy and leadership throughout the school.

The assembly also celebrated student achievement, recognizing 120 student leaders as well as students who have earned perfect attendance. In addition, several multilingual learner (MLL) students were featured at the beginning of the program, sharing how they use their leadership skills in the classroom and throughout the school, highlighting the diverse voices and talents within the Rehoboth Elementary community.

“We are incredibly proud of our Student Leadership Team and the example they set for others,” said Dr. Doris Person, principal of Rehoboth Elementary School. “Through their leadership, assemblies, and service to the school, they help create a culture where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to do their best.”

Looking ahead, the Student Leadership Team will help promote and organize Rehoboth Elementary’s participation in The Great Kindness Challenge during the last week of January. This initiative encourages acts of kindness among students and staff and creates a positive ripple effect that is felt throughout the building.

Rehoboth Elementary is proud of its Student Leadership Team and their ongoing efforts to foster a welcoming, supportive, and kind school environment.
