Milton Elementary Kindergarten Students Enjoy “Pizza Parlor” Classroom Transformation Day

Kindergarten students at Milton Elementary recently experienced a deliciously fun day of learning during a special “Pizza Parlor” classroom transformation, that turned their learning spaces into interactive pizza-themed classrooms – or parlors!

Throughout the day, students explored reading, writing, math, science, and other subject areas through engaging pizza-inspired activities designed to make learning both meaningful and memorable. From building a shape pizza, to going on a letter hunt with a pizza spatula, to creating their own guest check where they had to add up costs, students were immersed in hands-on lessons that encouraged creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Students and staff even put on their CHEF hats, aprons and mustaches that they wore throughout the day.

The classroom transformation provided students with an exciting opportunity to connect classroom concepts to real-world experiences while keeping learning active and engaging. “These types of experiences help bring learning to life for our youngest students,” said Dr. Clara Conn, principal at Milton Elementary.  “Classroom transformations generate excitement, encourage participation, and create lasting memories that the students are sure to keep with them in the future.”

The Pizza Parlor transformation is one example of the creative and innovative ways teachers continue to engage students through immersive learning experiences that support academic growth and foster a love of learning. The Kindergarten team sends its appreciation to the Milton Domino’s Pizza, Miltonian Pizzeria and Wing House, and Nicolas Pizza for the donation of the pizza boxes!
