Milton Elementary Hosts "Buddy Classroom" Event

On September 24th, some of the 2nd and 5th grade classrooms from Milton Elementary came together for the first “Buddy Classroom” event of the school year. Buddy Classrooms pair younger and older students to build friendships, strengthen learning, and share in special activities throughout the year. During this kickoff event, students were introduced to their buddies and sat with buddies who were in their same "house group." Together they peeled and chopped apples in the morning, then reunited in the afternoon to enjoy the homemade applesauce they prepared.

Throughout the year, buddy classes across all grade levels at Milton Elementary will continue to meet to read, share writing, and engage in seasonal projects. The applesauce activity was a sweet start to a year filled with connection, collaboration, and community.
