Milton Elementary Fifth Graders Host Annual Arts Showcase

Fifth-grade students at Milton Elementary School recently welcomed family members, friends, and staff to the school's Annual 5th Grade Arts Showcase, an evening dedicated to celebrating student achievement in the visual and performing arts.

The event featured performances by the fifth-grade band and chorus, showcasing the musical talents students have developed throughout the school year. Audience members enjoyed a variety of selections that highlighted students' growth in musicianship, confidence, and teamwork. In addition to the performances, student artwork was displayed throughout the school, providing guests with an opportunity to view a diverse collection of creative pieces that reflected the students' imagination, artistic skills, and individual expression.

The showcase was the result of a collaborative effort among band teacher Mirella Gable, music teacher Michelle Taylor, and art teacher Ali Selders, who worked together to create a meaningful experience that highlighted the hard work and creativity of Milton Elementary's fifth-grade students. The Annual 5th Grade Arts Showcase served as both a celebration of the arts and a memorable culminating experience for students as they prepare to transition to middle school. It continues to be a cherished tradition that brings the school community together to recognize student accomplishments and the important role the arts play in education.
