Love Creek Students Attend Special Olympics Leadership Conference

Students on the stage in front of the leadership conference banner are: Zelie Zimmer, Chance Everson, Zane Derti, Javier Ruiz, Naomi Rodriguez, Gabby Getz and Ben Kuns.

On January 15, students from Love Creek Elementary School attended the Special Olympics Student Leadership Conference held at the Delaware Technical Community College campus in Dover.

Students proudly represented Love Creek while participating in a full day of activities focused on leadership, inclusion, and collaboration. The conference included team-building exercises, relaxation techniques, and group discussions centered on fostering inclusive school communities.

During the event, students also brainstormed ideas for celebrating Inclusion Week at Love Creek Elementary in March and explored ways to promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion every day. The experience provided students with meaningful opportunities to develop leadership skills while reinforcing the importance of creating a welcoming environment for all.
