Little Vikings Celebrates their School Psychologists During School Psychology Week

During the week of November 3 – November 7, Little Vikings Preschool proudly celebrated School Psychology Week, recognizing the essential work all school psychologists do to support students’ learning, behavior, and mental health. With specialized expertise in assessment, intervention, and collaboration, school psychologists partner closely with families, teachers, and administrators to create safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.

Their role extends far beyond evaluations, they provide early identification of student needs, offer targeted interventions, and connect students and families to vital resources that promote resilience and long-term success.

“School psychology is about removing barriers so every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally,” said Little Vikings Principal Dr. Elizabeth Cherico. “We are fortunate at Little Vikings and at Cape, that we have school psychologists in all of our buildings, helping and supporting our students and families.”

The District is appreciative of its school psychologists for their dedication, compassion, and steadfast commitment to helping all students reach their full potential.
