Lions Club Hosts Annual Snow Bowl Event for Sussex Consortium Students

Students from the Cape Henlopen School District’s Sussex Consortium recently enjoyed their annual and memorable bowling event at Milford Bowling Lanes, made possible through the generosity of the Dewey Beach Lions Club. The outing offered students a chance to engage in a fun, supportive environment while strengthening social skills, teamwork, and community connections.

Throughout the event, students shared laughs, celebrated strikes and spares, and built confidence alongside peers and staff. Members of the Dewey Beach Lions Club were on hand to cheer students on and ensure the day was both inclusive and enjoyable, reflecting the strong partnership between the organization and the school district. Their team also provided the students with lunch, drinks and snacks throughout the event.

“This event is always about more than bowling, it is about belonging, joy, and community,” said Dr. Vivian Bush, principal of the Sussex Consortium. “We are incredibly grateful to the Dewey Beach Lions Club for their continued partnership in making this experience possible for our students.”
