Lewes Elementary second graders let their imaginations run wild during Monster Mania, an optional, creative, and spooky celebration of art and poetry! Students were invited to design their very own monsters, big or small, silly, or scary, using 2D or 3D materials. Each monster came with a creative name, like Spooky Spider or Gigantic Goblin, and a short poem showcasing the students’ writing skills through rhyme, alliteration, or even haiku. The monsters were proudly displayed in the school lobby. Teachers, administrators, and staff judged the monsters on Halloween, and prior to the end of the day the winners were announced! Congratulations to each of the twelve students who were recognized for their creativity and hard work!
