Dr. Eileen Baker Named 2025 Administrator of the Year by Delaware Association of Special Education Professionals

The Cape Henlopen School District is proud to announce that Dr. Eileen Baker, Supervisor of Inclusive Learning, has been named the 2025 Administrator of the Year by the Delaware Association of Special Education Professionals (DASEP).

This award recognizes Dr. Baker’s outstanding leadership, dedication, and advocacy in the field of special education. Her work has transformed the way inclusive services are delivered at Cape Henlopen, ensuring that all students, regardless of ability, have access to high-quality instruction, support, and opportunity.

“Dr. Baker is a passionate, student-centered leader who continuously goes above and beyond to support students with disabilities, their families, and our educators,” said Dr. Jenny Nauman, Superintendent of Cape Henlopen School District. “This recognition is a reflection of her relentless commitment to inclusion, equity, and excellence.”

In her role as Supervisor of Inclusive Learning, Dr. Baker has led key initiatives including enhanced professional development for staff, integrated classroom models, and districtwide efforts to strengthen collaboration between general and special education teams. Her leadership has fostered a culture of belonging and improved outcomes for countless students.

“I am incredibly honored to receive this award from DASEP,” said Dr. Baker. “The success of our inclusive programs is truly a team effort, and I’m grateful to work alongside such talented educators, administrators, and families who share a vision for a more inclusive future.”

Dr. Baker was recognized during the Annual Policy and Practice Conference held by Delaware Association of School Administrators (DASA), held at Dover High School on June 24.
