Cape High JRTOC Wins Big at Fitness Competition

The Cape Henlopen High School JROTC Raider Team (Physical Fitness Team) won big at a local fitness competition. 

Appoquinimink High School’s JROTC hosted the event inviting several local JROTC teams to the competition. Teams were graded on a one mile run, military style obstacle course, HMMWV Truck Pull, push-ups, sit-ups, sprint drag carry and a written test of general civic knowledge. Cape High was represented by Cadets: Jazmine Ramos-Trejo, Ronin Chmelewski, Kyle Nantz, Micala Ribeiro, Jacob Panyko, Tyler Haun, Joshua Ramon and Ryder VanHorn. 

“I couldn't have been any ‘Cape’ prouder of these kids," said Col. Dowgin. "This competition is just another testament to the amazing kids we have and their dedication to the JROTC program and culture.”
