Cape Henlopen Secondary Students Celebrated for Success in Districtwide Digital Math Challenge

Students across Cape Henlopen School District's three middle schools and high school were recognized this spring for their outstanding participation and achievement in a digital math competition designed to promote student engagement, strengthen mathematical skills, and support academic growth.

Using the district's digital math learning platforms, students and classrooms competed throughout the spring, earning recognition for their dedication, perseverance, and learning gains. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of McGraw Hill, winning classrooms were rewarded with special lunchtime celebrations.

Middle school winners enjoyed pizza parties catered by Henlopen Pizza Kitchen, while high school winners celebrated with taco parties provided by Taco Reho. In addition, individual students were recognized for their accomplishments with gift cards donated by Rehoboth Beach Chick-fil-A, Lewes Dairy Queen, Milton McDonald's, and Lewes McDonald's.

"Our digital learning platforms provide students with opportunities to practice and strengthen their math skills in engaging and personalized ways," said secondary district math specialist, Dr. Kristin Carmen. "These competitions not only encouraged academic growth but also celebrated the hard work, persistence, and enthusiasm our students demonstrate every day. We are grateful to McGraw Hill and our community partners for helping us recognize and reward student success."
