Beacon Middle School Collects over 400 Toys for the Local Toys for Tots Campaign

Beacon Middle School students spread holiday cheer this December through a successful Toys for Tots campaign led by seventh grade math teacher Mr. Charles Mumford.

The student organized effort began collecting toys in early December and concluded on December 18, just before winter break. Through their dedication and teamwork, students collected more than 425 toys to support families in the local community.

Lyric Hudson, an eighth-grade student at Beacon Middle School, shared, “It is important to give back to the community. Even a small effort, like helping bring joy through opening presents, can make a big difference.”

Eighth grader Anna Pedicone added, “We wanted to share the joy of the holidays and help make this time of year special for others in our community.”

Mr. Mumford, along with seventh grade science teacher Mrs. Elizabeth Hahn, delivered the toys to the local Toys for Tots drop off location just in time for the holidays. Their efforts ensured that many children would experience the excitement and happiness that come with the season.
