Through the Unique Learning System (ULS) science curriculum, students ages 18–22 explore scientific concepts that connect directly to everyday life and future independence. Instruction focuses on practical topics such as personal health and wellness, environmental awareness, nutrition, weather and safety, and the use of science in daily decision-making. Hands-on activities and real-world applications help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and observation skills while building an understanding of how science impacts their lives, communities, and future opportunities.
