Restorative Practice

Cape Henlopen School District is committed to the Restorative Practices approach for establishing a positive and productive school climate through community and relationship building among students and staff. Restorative practices include a commitment to trauma-informed care and social-emotional learning (SEL). Research suggests that restorative practices can have a positive impact on student behavior and reduce the disparity in suspension rates among some of our most marginalized student populations.
