Electronic Flyer Distribution

PeachJar General Information

As part of our continued efforts to be environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility we will continue to utilize the electronic flyer delivery system through the service provider, PeachJar.

Paper flyers and handouts that were previously sent home with students will continue to be sent electronically to your email address on file with the District. These flyers can also be viewed by clicking on the Peachjar logo above, the logo on the District homepage and on each of the school's homepages.

This system is used exclusively for distribution of school and District approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. This "green" initiative will continue to help us save paper, reduce costs and save staff time.

School PTO/Organization Flyers

Your school's designated PeachJar School Uploader can upload and distribute flyers to the individual school's parents and staff. You can send your flyers to the School Site Uploader for distribution. Please reach out to the school Secretary to find out who the School Uploader is.

If you would like your PTO flyer distributed District-wide to parents and/or staff, please contact the Communications Coordinator, Stephanie DeMalto at stephanie.demalto@cape.k12.de.us.

Parent/Guardian Help and Information

New Parents/Guardians to the District

No action is required on your part. New parent(s)/guardians to the District will receive a welcome email from PeachJar. This email will include a username and password so that you can manage your account and flyer delivery preferences. You do not need to login to receive or view school flyers. You will receive them via email and will be able to access them on the District and individual school homepages.

Current Parents/Guardians

If you are not receiving PeachJar emails, there are a few possible reasons for this:

  • Your current email address is not on file with your school. Please contact your child's or children's school(s) to update your email address.
  • PeachJar emails may be going to your spam/junk folder. To prevent flyers from going to your spam folder, add school@peachjar.com to your email contacts.
  • If the first PeachJar email you receive is blank, be sure to click "always display images".

Any current parent whose child has switched schools will automatically start receiving flyers from their new school and those that no longer have a child(ren) in the District will be removed from the system.

Flyer Guidelines & Requirements for Community Organizations

The PeachJar system can take up to 24 hours to make the flyer live and start distribution to families and staff. Sending time-sensitive materials through PeachJar is not recommended. Below are the District's Peachjar guidelines.

Fundraisers
All flyers promoting a fundraiser must be to the benefit of our students and staff, or a fundraiser hosted by a student. Fundraisers are required to be approved by the District Office prior to promotion via PeachJar. Fundraisers outside of CHSD will not be permitted.

Enrichment Programs
We recognize the value of enrichment programs hosted by local organizations that promote academic, athletic, and performing arts enrichment opportunities to students and families. Flyers for these programs must be submitted for approval via the PeachJar website. Programs must also be hosted by a non-profit organization in order to receive approval. Solicitation, advertisements, and for-profit promotional materials will not be approved.

Enrichment programs are defined as educational, social, or recreational activities that benefit school-age children within our district. Programs must also take place within the boundaries of the Cape Henlopen School District (the exception would be information from the State of Delaware, and/or the Delaware Department of Education).

Distribution and Approvals
Community organizations submitting a flyer for approval must do so by Wednesday at 11:00 PM. Flyers will be reviewed/approved/denied on Thursdays. If the District Approver is out of the office on an approval day, it will be reviewed the next business day upon their return.

The Cape Henlopen School District reserves the right to deny the distribution of any flyer that does not fall within the above guidelines. Flyers promoting local programs that compete with in-district opportunities for students or staff will be denied.

How to Submit Your Flyer for Approval
Visit peachjar.com and create an account as a Community Organization. Click the “Sign Up” button at the top of the page and follow the onscreen instructions to register.

Important Notes for Public Entities

  • This service incurs a fee of $25 per flyer per school* - typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school.
  • To post fliers free-of-charge, you must qualify as a non-profit, charitable, or civic organization (UBI or Tax ID number required), AND the item, service, or event you are advertising is offered at no cost.
  • The Cape Henlopen School District does not have any part in this process. Please contact Peachjar for further details.
  • Flyers that advertise a benefit that incurs a charge or fee or promotes such services or events will cost $25.00 per flyer per school to post. Peachjar will waive its service fees for local community organizations posting to CHSD schools when promoting a free event or activity that does not entice participants to join a fee-based program, or purchase products or services.
  • To receive the waived service fees, a community organization must contact Peachjar to make the request.
  • View the Free Flyer Posting Guidelines

The Cape Henlopen School District has no part in the account setup process. For questions of any other nature, please contact Peachjar.

Flyers must NOT contain material or images that:

  • Are distasteful, inappropriate, obscene, libelous, or slanderous.
  • Encourage students to commit unlawful acts, violate school rules, or disrupt the orderly operation of schools.
  • Promote any particular political or religious interest group, candidate, party, or ballot measure.
  • Appear to position the District on any side of a controversial issue.
  • Discriminate against, attack, or denigrate any group on account of gender, race, age, ethnicity, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability, or other unlawful consideration.
  • Promote the sale of materials or services that are illegal or inconsistent with school objectives including, but not limited to, materials or advertisements for tobacco, intoxicants, and movies or products unsuitable for children.
  • Solicit funds or services for an outside organization, with the exception of fundraising activities approved by the District that will directly benefit student groups or organizations.
