Prior to accepting the head football job, Collick served as DSU’s Wrestling coach and led the team to the school’s only MEAC wrestling title in 1984.

He co-founded The Hornet Club, an athletic fundraising organization for alumni and friends of the program. Collick also helped organize the first annual Delaware State Celebrity Golf Tournament which became the major fundraiser to benefit DSU athletics.
Collick is well known for efforts on behalf of many charitable organizations throughout the area, including United Way of Delaware, Big Brothers of Delaware, the non-profit organization (Pathways to Success) and the MERIT program. Reverend Marjorie Belmont
Area "C" December 2024 - June 2025
Reverend Belmont is a native Sussex County resident, born and raised in Selbyville, DE. She attended Philip C. Showell School in grades 1-6. In the wake of integration, she was one of many Black students who attended the former Selbyville High School, later graduating from Indian River High School (June 1972). She is a graduate of Delaware State University (BS-Foods and Nutrition) and Palmer Theological Seminary (Wynnewood, PA), where she earned a Master of Divinity.
Although she has four adult children, only two graduated from Delaware Schools: her eldest son, Rodney C. Belmont, is a graduate of Indian River High School, and her youngest child, Donte Privott, is a 2019 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. Through grades 9-12, she consistently met with Donte’s IEP team, and commends them for keeping her and him on track with his progress. Donte needed the same support system that he had been given at the Kent Island Elementary/Middle Schools, and she was not disappointed with the IEP Support Team at Cape Henlopen High School. Because she answered the call to ordained ministry in The United Methodist Church and was appointed to churches in Carolina County, Maryland, her two daughters are North Carolina High School, Denton, Maryland graduates.
Reverend Belmont has always strongly advocated for quality education within the public school arena. While married and living on the now defunct Coast Guard Base, Governors Island, New York, she was the Director of the Childcare Center and later took the position as a long-term substitute teacher for John F. Kennedy High School, New Jersey. Although her children were young, her former husband and she participated in many activities at the elementary base school.
While residing in Denton, Maryland, for twelve years and later appointed to two churches in Chester, MD, she was a member of various school board committees, including the Curriculum Committee, Parent Advocacy Committee, and Minority Advocacy Committee.
Since being appointed in July 2015 to Faith and Israel United Methodist Churches (Rehoboth Beach and Lewes), now only Israel United Methodist Church, she has been involved in many community organizations focusing on diversity, equity, quality education, and social justice for all. Reverend Belmont also has served on the Executive Board for Pathways to Success and now functions as their Part-time Human Relations Manager.
Her background in education, business management, human resources, and pastoral ministry, as well as serving on a wide array of community and ministerial committees in Paterson, NJ, Governors Island, NY, Denton, MD, Kent Island, MD, Lewes and Rehoboth DE, The Peninsula-Delaware United Methodist Conference and The United Methodist Church, has allowed her to gain significant insight into the many aspects that can/do affect academic performance, goals, outcomes, and fiscal management.
