What are the Qualifications?
We are looking for individuals who have:
- At least a high school diploma for Service Aides, Custodians, Transportation and Child Nutrition workers. An Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's Degrees are preferred for Teachers and Paraeducators.
- The ability to work collaboratively with others and be open to new experiences.
- The willingness to utilize some technology at a minimal level.

What is the Pay?
Substitute Teacher Pay is based on the following classifications:
- Class A Sub ($124/day) - If you hold a valid Delaware educators license or valid educator license from another state.
- Class B Sub ($99/day) - If you hold a Bachelor's degree OR are a student currently enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education, have earned 60 credits, and are enrolled in a program that will culminate in becoming eligible for a teaching license in the State of Delaware.
- Class C Sub ($79) - If you do not meet the requirements of Class A or Class B as described above, and you have a high school diploma
Substitute teachers who work more than 25 days will receive an additional rate incentive beginning on the 26th day of substitution. Check out the article from the Cape Gazette here!
Substitute Paraeducators - $99.76/day
Substitute Secretary - $99/day
Substitute Nurse - $170/day
Substitute Custodian - $108.70/day
Substitute Bus Monitor - $87.30/day
Substitute Bus Driver - $113.26/day
Substitute Child Nutrition Worker - $13.53 per hour
Substitute Service Aide - $11.82/hour (3.5 hours only per day)
