Arbor Day School Poster Contest Winner
The Delaware Forest Service announced the winners of its annual Arbor Day School Poster Contest, which featured the theme “Trees are terrific – in all shapes and sizes!” This year, approximately 3,600 students participated in the competition. H.O. Brittingham Elementary School is proud to announce that one of our own, Brittany Valentin-Pegueros, was the winner for Grades 1 & 2 for Sussex County. Governor Jack A. Markell was at the Delaware Arbor Day Ceremony and recognized her along with winners from each County. Brian McDonald from the Delaware Forest Service came to H.O.B. on Thursday, May 23, 2013 to plant a tree, with Brittany’s help, to honor her winning poster. Brittany is a second grader in Mrs. Potter’s class. Congratulations!! |
