Representatives from the 5th grade class delivered canned goods to Casa San Francisco in Milton on June 10, 2009.  The 5th grade class voted upon a canned food drive as a culminating project to their "Democratic Methods" unit in Social Studies.

Last night, the 4th and 5th grade students performed their annual Spring Concert. The fourth grade entertained the audience with their flutophones playing songs like Amazing Grace and Land's End.

The 5th grade band opened their performance with the Star Spangled Banner. Other songs included The Victor's March and German Waltz. As always, they concluded with the ever popular Lets Go Band with an arousing drum set solo by RJ.

The 5th grade choir's program was called "Surfin' USA". The program consisted of musical numbers like Surfer Girl, Purple People Eater, Louie Louie, and Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini. They concluded their performance with the song Kindness, which they dedicated to our assistant principal, Trish Mumford. Mrs. Mumford will soon be leaving for her new position as principal of Rehoboth Elementary School.
